SUPERLIFE High
Tensile Wire Tests in the USA, Europe, and Japan showed that the Superlife Wire coating lasts three to five times longer in corrosive salt and chemical sprays (similar to herbicides, pesticides, etc.). Superlife's better sacrificial behavior means that bare spots on the wire from scratches will not corrode for an even longer distance away from the coating. |
| The Superlife coating is also more flexible and will not crack or break when the wire is bent or tied. |
| MAX-FLEX wires all have heavy class 3 type coatings (Class 80 Zn5Al) with a minimum of 0.8 ounces per square foot of wire surface which equals about 40-45 microns of thickness on the graph above. There are no comparable products to MAX-FLEX Superlife Wire in the American fence wire market. Others are Class 40 with only half the coating weight, 0.4 ounces per square foot of wire surface. |
*Wire life estimate is for a humid environment without other corrosive chemicals (it will last much longer in a dry climate) and only about half as long in coastal and industrial environments and when exposed to corrosive sprays and chemicals.
